Things to do at Ironwood Springs

Have fun and create memories at Ironwood Springs! We provide a variety of activities for you to add to your retreat or event. Click on an activity below to learn more. Book your activity at least two weeks in advance to ensure availability. Hover over an image below and click on the one that you are interested in learning more! 

Snow tubing and trail rides are available for non-guests and can be booked online.  Email or call us at office@ironwoodsprings.com or 507-533-4315 to book a non-equine activity today!  To book an equine activity, please contact the equine office directly via email wrangler@ironwoodsprings.com or phone 507-533-9933.  
Ironwood offers a number of activities that require no reservation and are available to all guests onsite.
Animal Farm
Ironwood Springs is home to a variety of animals including goats, sheep, pigs, and many cute and cuddly bunnies! The animal farm also has miniatures animals. along Clyde, our veteran camel.
Camp Fire
Ironwood offers a number of camp fire spaces for large groups to enjoy the experience together. Your host will work with you to find the ideal spot for your group.
Fishing
Fishing off the banks of the Root River is an enjoyable experience as you reel in smallmouth bass, carp and redhorse. Be sure to pack your fishing pole and tackle box!
Tennis Courts
Newly resurfaced! Our outdoor tennis courts provide a place to enjoy a game of tennis for all abilities.
Basketball Courts
Our outdoor courts are a place to enjoy a game of horse, a casual pickup game or a full court competition!
Recreation Field
The rec field is a four-acre grass field for rental groups to enjoy a fun game of kickball, tag games and more!
Swimming Pool
Ironwood has an outdoor pool equipped with a chair lift and a ramp. Open Memorial Weekend thru Labor Day weekend. 
Ga-ga Ball
Like dodgeball, but inside a ga-ga pit! Dodge, run and jump your way in being the last person standing. Located near the rec field. Equipment provided.
Horseshoes 
Horseshoe pits  are located next to mini golf. Horseshoes are available in the equipment shed under the pavilion.
Lawn Games
A variety of lawn games, including bocce ball and bean bag toss, are available. See your host for a full list of options.
Hiking and Snowshoe Trails
Miles of trails are available for you to explore on the north side of the Root River. In addition, a well-marked 4K trail is a mapped out running trail for guests to enjoy.
Scavenger Hunts
Scavenger hunts are a great way to explore Ironwood! Seasonal and age appropriate hunts are available for guests visiting Ironwood.
