Ironwood Springs Board of Directors

Nicole Guerton - Chair

Nicole began serving on the board in 2018. After being introduced to Bob (Bardwell) and the ranch through a presentation by Bob at Mayo Clinic in 2016, she immediately set up time to come out to learn more and volunteer!

Nicole married her husband, Dusty, and they live in Rochester with two kiddos: Chloe and Aleksandar. They also provide a home for 3 spoiled dogs! Both Dusty and Nicole are originally from MN and have some extended family nearby and in the midwest.

Raised by believers and growing up going to church, Nicole shares that she struggled during high school with doubt; a turning point in her own faith journey was on a mission trip her senior year, specifically during stations of the cross.

Nicole works full-time at the Mayo Clinic Trauma Center in Rochester. As well, she owns Dynamic Wellness LLC and ShareJoy®.

“To the best of my understanding, my purpose in life is to empower people to live their highest quality of life through alignment of personal values and actions.  I connect intentionally with organizations like ISCR whose mission align with my values in an effort to continue to learn, maximize my impact serving others, and feel fulfilled at each day’s end.  Some of my favorite ways to serve at ISCR have been general equine care and equine-centric events.  Members of my family have enjoyed horse lessons, trail rides, sleigh rides, Miracles Happen Festival, Married Couples Retreat, Women’s Retreat, and Mother-Daughter retreat. Coming out to ISCR feels restorative to my mind, body, and soul!”

Trina Urban - Secretary

Trina Urban was born and raised locally here in Rochester, MN. Although a native to the area, she is not a native to Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch. Being introduced to the Ranch later in life has given Trina a different view of the opportunities it has to serve people from all over. The mission to help others to experience amazing life adventures without their physical and emotional challenges limiting them is a courageous, overwhelming, amazing, and astounding feat. With God, all things are possible. With the blessings and direction of God, the Ranch makes things possible. Raised as a devout Catholic and now a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Stewartville, Trina has always prioritized her faith and the presence of God in her life.

Trina has worked as an Investment Research Analyst with Advanced Financial Consultants in Rochester since 2000. She lives in Stewartville raising her two teenage daughters, where they enjoy camping, hiking, playing games, reading and most anything together.

Mike Enke

Mike has been associated with Ironwood Springs in various capacities for nearly ten years, including his current role as board president. Mike believes that it is an honor working with an organization truly working to live out its mission each and every day and seeing the impact Ironwood Springs has on families is so rewarding. Whether it's military families finding deeper connection through Operation Welcome Home, wheelchair sports camp attendees having fun, or autistic youth bonding with others in similar life circumstances, Ironwood Springs truly is a place to escape from the noise.

He has been married to his wife Cami for twenty-two years and have three amazing boys. They are heavily involved with Eagle Brook Church, where they’ve been attending from the time they started dating. For over ten years, Mike has overseen the business operations of Rochester Motor Cars, and loves the privilege and responsibility of leadership at home, in ministry,

Danny Smith

Danny began serving on the board in 2023. He has a passion for helping others and seeing people benefit from positive influences and experiences in their life.  Danny believes in the Ranch’s purpose, vision and mission. He has been working in the lawn care and landscape business for 20+ years.  Danny was born in Jamaica and moved to the United States when he was 13 years old. He is married to his wife, Kelly, of 20 years, and they have 2 children, Damian, and Aliya, who keep them busy. He grew up in Mountain Lake, MN, and his wife grew up in St. Charles, MN. They are strong believers and attend Eagle Brook Church in Rochester. Danny enjoys spending time with friends and family and attending his kids’ sporting events.

Charlene Wibben

Charlene has been volunteering at Ironwood for eight years and on the Board of Directors for six years. For her, volunteering at Ironwood has been a rewarding and refreshing opportunity. She has enjoyed helping with the horses, being outdoors, serving others, and meeting many new people. She contributes time volunteering at Ironwood to the feelings of happiness and peacefulness, similar to a mini vacation. Charlene has been a part of the Stewartville United Methodist Church from day one, sitting beside her mother who was her spiritual influence. As a child, she attended church weekly, not always at her will, but as time moved forward, she realize the positive influence and guidance needed to fulfill a missing piece of her life. She is constantly surprised how each sermon seems to closely relate to an aspect of her life. Charlene is a Senior Project Manager at Blackrock Neurotech and lives on a small hobby farm east of Stewartville with her husband, daughter, horses, goats, a couple cats, and the family dog. To pass time, Charlene likes to camp with her horses and friends, take the Can-am out for a spin, fish, watch her husband and daughter tractor pull, hike, and read.

Tom Redalen

Tom began serving on the board in 2017. He enjoys serving on committees within the ranch board and has a passion for seeing great people accomplish great things in life. Tom feels that the programs that the ranch offers are life changing and they carry with individuals forever. As a youth, Tom spent many days at the ranch with his church youth group. When he was approached to consider an opportunity to join the board, there was no hesitation. He is married to his wife, Renee, and they have 3 incredibly busy girls. They also have 2 grandsons with another one on the way…. Tom is a Private Wealth Advisor at Wells Fargo Bank. He started working at the bank in 1989, right after finishing college at Minnesota State University. Tom grew up in Chatfield and Renee grew up in Rochester. They are strong believers and attend Eagle Brook Church in Rochester. Tom’s outdoor passion is bow hunting elk and mule deer in the mountains.

Lydia Bardwell Speltz

Lydia joined the board in 2021 but has been associated with Ironwood for 26 years. Her dad, Bob Bardwell, is the founder of Ironwood and Lydia had the amazing opportunity to grow up there. Lydia volunteered countless hours while growing up at Ironwood.  National Wheelchair Sports Camp has always been Lydia’s favorite program. She was employed for a number of summers running different youth camps and activities. Lydia met her future husband, Tucker Speltz, at youth camp back in 2003. Lydia and Tucker were married in 2019 and welcomed their first son, Sullivan, in 2021. Lydia chose to join the board in an effort to help guide Ironwood’s future, given the impact it’s had on her life. Lydia accepted Christ at a young age and her faith continues to be a top priority in her life. Lydia and Tucker have been attending and serving at Eagle Brook Church since 2013 at a variety of campus locations. Lydia is currently a graduate student studying biomedical engineering and physiology at Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. She is hoping to graduate in 2023.

Kip Forsthoffer

Kip joined the board at Ironwood Springs in December of 2022. Kip has a wonderful wife of 26 years, Janelle, and 3 amazing children, Emma, Sara, and Kole. He is a current Business Development Director at Hitachi Solutions, a business transformation services organization. Kip spent his career with technology firms, Microsoft, Dell, and Gateway, despite his degree in Biology for Texas Christian University (TCU). Kip spent nearly 10 years as a youth leader at Autumn Ridge Church, was blessed to serve on the elder board for 3 years, and as a family served at Next Chapter Ministries.  As a youth leader Kip was introduced to the Ranch, bringing out small groups for overnights or sledding in the winter months, however the mission of Ironwood Springs landed later when asked to look deeper into the impacts the Ranch is making on so many lives. Kip found that Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch is truly a special place, to meet many individuals where they are at, and to experience the love of Christ.
