Year-Round Staff

Full-Time Positions: 

Program Director: We are looking for an outgoing, well-organized person who will provide leadership and training in areas of developing, implementing, evaluating, and overseeing the special needs and military, faith-based camp programs at Ironwood. The Program Director will be responsible for program development, scheduling, marketing, summer program staff hiring, management, scheduling, and training, along with the faith development of summer staff. You will also be responsible for overseeing all activity areas of Ironwood including zipline, shooting ranges, rec center, challenge course, and many others.  

Maintenance/Custodian: We are looking for a full-time maintenance person to do everything from building and maintenance upkeep/repairs, groundskeeping, snowplowing, vehicle maintenance, construction, and sometimes cleaning duties.  


Part-Time Positions

Activity Staff: Looking for teens/young adults to work on weekends mainly (Saturdays but with some exceptions) to staff our activities such as zip line, challenge course, shooting range (archery/bb gun).  Hours are flexible/variable.    This may be spring, summer, or fall timeframes.

Snow Tubing Staff: We are looking for outgoing, guest-oriented people to run our snow tubing hill throughout the winter.  You will help individuals and families create fun memories while ensuring a safe operation.  Hours are mainly on weekends (Friday night-Sunday night but some weeknight work available.

Step two: Search and apply

Step three: Ironwood Springs review process

After you complete your application for employment, we’ll review your application and qualifications. Candidates are selected for interviews based on academic background, extracurricular activities and life experience.


Step four: Interviews

 If you are selected, you’ll be invited to participate in the interview process, which in most cases is onsite, but we can accommodate virtual interviews.


Step five: Offer decisions

A decision is usually made within a few weeks of the final interview. Ironwood Springs administration will stay in touch with you throughout the recruiting process, and we ask that you do the same. We welcome you to ask questions, request additional information or let us know if you have received another offer

About our Summer Gap Year Program

The best thing about embarking on a summer gap year program is that you can do it as an in-between. In between high school and college, in between university and getting a graduate job, or even just in between junior and senior year. With so many options, why not take the opportunity to serve at Ironwood!


Ironwood's summer gap year program gives you the chance to learn new skills or refresh old ones, take time out to discover new places, or even gain some valuable real-world experience. Whether it's learning valuable life skills through service to our programs, or supporting our unique equine program, there are plenty of adventures awaiting if you choose to do a summer gap year program here at Ironwood. The best thing is, you'll also give your resume and college application a boost, while still having a great time doing meaningful work. And, you'll no doubt meet new people and get to see and do things you never would have imagined while making a genuine difference in the lives of those we serve! Summer Staff

Below is a summary of positions available at Ironwood Springs for summer 2023. Some positions require full summer commitments, Often times our staff choose to fill multiple positions if scheduling allows. No matter the role, all staff at Ironwood are prepared to contribute as needed for the benefit of the whole team, and serve campers and guests of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds in a manner that communicates Jesus’ love for them.  To apply, click on the Apply Position button above.


 General Summer Staff
  • Summer Staff

    We are looking for youth either going into their junior or senior year in high school or college-aged to help with our programs for disabilities, autism, and military families and also for helping with many of the general camp needs throughout the summer.  You will enjoy working with a fun team while also growing your faith throughout the summer.  Position includes room and board for the summer if desired.  

  • Activities Staff

    The primary role for Activities Staff at Ironwood Springs is to lead guests in a variety of staffed activities, providing a safe and positive experience for all participants.  Our staffed activities include Zip Line, Challenge Course, Slip and Slide, Bouldering Wall, Archery, BB Guns, and Slingshot.  Activities Staff will also provide help in many other spots when not doing guest activities such as cleaning, maintenance, groundskeeping, or kitchen help.  There is potential for staying on site during the summer as part of a team.  

    Approximate employment period would be from early June to mid-late August but will work with you on schedule.  Must be 16 or older.

Equine Program
  • Summer Wrangler

    Summer Wranglers are capable, dependable, hard-working, horse and people lovers! 

    Wrangler horse staff need to have a good working knowledge of how to handle horses and the equipment and proficiently ride at a walk, trot and lope. 





  • Trail Ride Leads

    We are looking for experienced riders who can lead trail rides during the summer, mainly on weekends.  Must be customer-service oriented and enjoy working with guests.
