This day field trip program is open to
special needs classes from grades K-12, and is designed to serve students with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.At Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch, we are proud to offer our ConnectAbilities program, designed specifically for special needs students in grades K-12. Our field trip experience provides fun, engaging, and accessible learning opportunities that are tailored to meet the unique abilities of each student and to school's learning standards.
What We Offer:
- Animal Farm Exploration: Students interact with our friendly animals, learning about care and empathy in a hands-on and safe environment.
- Equine Therapy: Our horses provide therapeutic opportunities to build confidence, trust, and self-esteem, all within a supportive setting.
- STEM Design Challenges: Hands-on STEM activities are designed to engage students in problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork, with adaptations to fit all ability levels.
- Zip-Line Adventure: Experience the thrill of zip-lining, fostering courage and accomplishment, tailored to individual needs and abilities.
- Snow Tubing (Winter Only): Accessible snow tubing fun during the winter months—bringing joy and outdoor adventure to students of all abilities.
- And So Much More: All activities are age-appropriate, developmentally appropriate, and designed to focus on abilities, ensuring every student feels empowered and engaged.
