An overnight camp for campers going into 6th-8th grade

June 28 - July 3
Quest camp is for kids going into 6th-8th grade. For this camp campers will choose to participate in a track for the week of camp. They will have the option to choose from horsemanship, art, shooting sports, cooking or escape room design. Camp at Ironwood is a great opportunity for campers to learn new skills as well as walk deeper into their faith in Jesus Christ.

Meals are provided Monday breakfast through Friday breakfast. Campers will stay in either the dorms or the cabins which are air conditioned, and must provide their own bedding  (sleeping bag and pillow recommended).

Tracks
Our track program gives campers the opportunity to focus their time on an activity that interests them. The will spend time each morning in their track, learning new skills that they can take with them.

Shooting Sports: Participants will learn the basics of firearms safety for rifle, pistol, and shotguns. The SE Minnesota Sportsman's Club is providing NRA certified shooting instructors and shooting range time for this camp. Most shooting will be done at the Club. Transportation will be provided. Additional waivers for the Stewartville Sportsman Club and SE MN Sportsman Club are required for this track.

Art: Participants will learn to use and exercise their creativity through different art styles and mediums. Most of all, the participants will come to an understanding of what it means to be made in the image of God who is the ultimate Creator. We are creative because we are made in His image, and this, more than anything else, should encourage us to ALWAYS be passionately creating!

Cooking: Participants will have the opportunity to learn various kitchen skills and cooking methods, starting with the basics of safe and healthy food choices, then moving on to learning how to use many of the tools of cooking: knives, meat thermometers, measuring utensils, etc. Campers will help prep for one of the camp meals and try our hand at outdoor cooking! The best part is campers get to eat what they make each day!

Horsemanship: Ride on! Yes, there will be riding, catching, grooming, learning, games AND fun! Experience the quest of just one of God’s amazing creations, the horse! We require that anyone registering for this camp weigh 225# or less. This track has limited spots available, so register early! An additional equine waiver is required for this track.

Outdoor Skills : New this year! You will learn outdoor skills during this track such as fire starting (without a match), shelter building, etc. More to come here on this description.

Camp Cost: $410
  • $390 Early Bird rate if registered before May 1.
